What if…

What if...

What if – two little words to get around so you can step forward

One thing I can guarantee before most people even begin to talk about the changes they want to make is that they will have asked themselves so many what ifs that they won’t know which way is up or which is down.

What if it doesn’t work?
What if it’s too late to change?
What if I make the wrong choice?

How many times as you thought about making a career change have your own doubts held you back?  Fear of the unknown is one of the most common things stopping people from stepping up into a future they want.

Spinning in the world of what if won’t take you forward. It doesn’t get you anywhere and only makes you dizzy. So how to stop the spin and even take that first step toward the change you want?
We want to step out of the what if goes wrong, turn 180deg look back and ask what if it goes right?!

Most of us fear change on some level – completely understandable. And yet we make changes in our lives all the time.  Some are big and take time and others we make without giving much thought to it.  For me, it is finding out why you want to make the change. I want to hear about your goals and the difference you are wanting to see in your life. We seldom make a change for no reason so what are your reasons for wanting a change.

So what if you:

  • stay doing what you are doing and nothing changes?  How will that feel?
  • listened to yourself and your needs and then delivered what it is you are wanting?
  • never try and therefore never have the chance to succeed?

Don’t let those little words ‘what if’ hold you in a spinning pattern. Step away from those words, approach them from a different angle and take another look. And then take a step toward your future.
